The third revolution of aviation has begun, with new types of aircraft competing to transform how we connect people, deliver goods and provide services. To succeed, an integrated systems approach is needed, taking a holistic view of the ecosystem and putting people at the heart of this change. The Future Flight Challenge, delivered by Innovate UK on behalf of UK Research & Innovation is a £300 million programme that will achieve these aims by; funding innovative R&D projects, and setting up working groups to discuss, tackle and solve the main industry challenges.
