About Rupert Bayley

Rupert’s career began at Lotus Engineering within the Powertrain Test and Development department. He then moved onto Jaguar Cars, which became Jaguar Land Rover, where he also worked within Powertrain Engineering.

Rupert then completed an assignment as a Programme Manager at Volvo Cars based in Sweden, working collaboratively between Land Rover, Volvo and Ford. On return to the UK, Rupert moved into Electrical Engineering, initially in Powertrain Control and Calibration Systems, and later into Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.

In Rupert’s current role as Head of CES UK, he is responsible for the operations across two sites located in Burgess Hill and Lichfield. CES works with many of the smaller manufacturers in the UK automotive industry, applying the volume car industry systems to these smaller customers. Increasingly, CES is developing the use of automotive systems in the non-automotive markets, for example, radar and camera sensing systems for use on drones.
